SetUp Templates

The SetUp Template is the creation of PGA Australia Professionals Danny Bird and David Thomas. It’s a precision training and coaching aid born from tens of thousands of hours coaching players of all ages and abilities. From novice golfers to Professional players, this training aid will help your game and students. The concept is simple, golfers all over the world are chasing consistency in their games. The setup template trains you to place your feet at the appropriate width (based on your height) and ball position in the idea spot for more relatable, quality golf shots. The template is available in four different lengths.

The SetUp template has also been designed to help you improve your short game, from green side chipping and pitching through to putting. The pitching part of the template helps players understand the correct setup and create a stock setup for repeatable, consistent and predictable outcomes of their pitch shots. There is also variation on balls positions to effect flight without adjusting setup.

The putting element of the Setup Template has been designed as a guide for players to create a setup that allows for a consistent roll on the ball and the ability to position the ball where the clubface is generally at its most square in the stroke (data captured by GCQuad)
